Eclectic British brilliance in Pylewell Park

The history: This styled shoot was inspired by the mission statement of Pylewell Park That’s “eclectic and eccentric, crazy and British”. The idea was to juxtapose this historic property with the modernity of the new outdoor pavilion and create a fun, contemporary look for open-minded couples who aren’t afraid to use color.

The site: Pylewell Park is a historic location for weddings and events in Hampshire. With some serious wow factors and ocean views, the wedding package offers exclusive use of the main house for two nights with space for up to 26 guests. The property has a stunning gazebo and amazing lawns that are ideal for entertaining guests. The house also has a newly renovated bridal suite with beautiful twin roll top bathtubs.

The atmosphere: Brave, funny, flirtatious and feminine. This wedding is all about looking over the top and with a touch of humor in the face. The key element to this look was the bold use of pastel colors with a bright red accent. This was used throughout the shoot, from the table landscape to the balloon installation.

The details: The floral design was key. The arrangements were designed with the eccentricity of the venue in mind. Willow & Wisp’s Rhiannon selected quirky, lesser-known types of flowers that are not usually associated with weddings, such as tropical anthurium and colored asparagus fern. The intent was to reflect the property’s personality through mismatched blooms and clashing colors. Pink and red were the dominant hues, with light blue delphinium and oxypetalum hues. The stationery suite also used clashing colors (blue, pink, and red) to create some standout pieces.

Highlights:

  • For a decidedly modern look, leave out the green of your floral arrangements.
  • If your venue has a large lawn, consider how it can be used as a meeting place for guests, e.g. B. by using giant board games like jenga and chess.
  • If you prefer a more personalized look, consider creating a custom monogram with your initials that can be used for your stationery suite (e.g. for invitations, menus). Gold foil can be added for a luxurious finish.
