Eco-chic earthy wedding in Berlin

The history: This stylish wedding shoot with the real Berlin couple Hannu & Jule is all about intimacy, with an emphasis on keeping things low-key and environmentally friendly. This aesthetic combines contemporary design with earthy and natural Berlin style, an ideal inspiration for the sustainably conscious millennium.

The site: Fritz brothers – Carl Fritz is an old residential building in upscale Berlin Charlottenburg Neighborhood. It has six different rooms that can be rented out separately for exclusive events. Each of the rooms has its own charm with different color palettes, floors, flexible furniture, lots of natural light, original stucco and high ceilings. This is a unique intimate function space ideal for a micro wedding.

The atmosphere: Small, special and relaxed. This wedding is about creating an extraordinary and unforgettable evening that can be shared with the nearest and dearest of our couple. Every detail has been carefully selected and designed with an emphasis on nature and organic. Even the menu was made up entirely of locally sourced vegetarian ingredients and looks like something sourced from a nearby forest.

The details: In keeping with the natural atmosphere, the color palette for this stylish shoot revolved around white, brown, beige, various shades of green and some shades of rouge. To avoid making this look like something you’ve seen before, the team played with textures and natural shapes and brought a touch of wildling with them. The floral design was one of the key elements. In addition to the bouquet and table arrangements, the location has been breathed into life with green spaces.

Highlights:

  • Let your location set the tone and mood for your event. For this shoot, the color palette was inspired by the historical features of the venue.
  • If you go for a natural or earthly theme, keep your styling natural, even when it comes to hair and nature. You can also think of the box when it comes to fashion, like our groom’s three piece brown textured suit from Monocle Berlin.
  • Don’t be afraid of asymmetry and if you want to add a touch of the wild, consider using green instead of regular flowers in your floral arrangements.
