Modern island-inspired wedding in Yorskshire

The history: A trendsetting inland style wedding shoot that brings the vacation spirit to the UK. Suzy, stylist & planner at Mave weddingssaid: “I wanted to recreate the pristine charm of an old Ibizan town with a modern twist of White Island vibes.”

The site: North Yorkshire’s Most Wanted New Wedding Venue, White syke fields where the whitewashed wall barn has been brought to life with a touch of modern boho luxury.

The atmosphere: Versatile and relaxed island chic. Extensive use of natural materials like rattan, wicker baskets, soft cotton and painted palm leaves. A variety of tropical plants were used to create depth along the Ganges. For a sense of adventure, a white Suzuki Jimny has been styled in and between tropical plants, upholstered furniture, and palm fronds. The shoot also took advantage of the surrounding corn, corn fields and the lake.

The details: Artisanal style elements included fringed lamps, a modern version of the peacock chair, lanterns, delicate flowers and sculptural plants galore. Sunset paperThe stationery suite in Costa Rica was sleek, modern, and chic, with palm and monstera leaf designs that added a fun touch. From the bloomCreative floristry created the wow factor with a palm leaf feature above the table and two bespoke bouquets of flowers including calla lilies, white ferns, pink orchids and a cockscomb.
