Pretty purple wedding on Seal Beach

The history: Made up by Lorie at H & L beautiful creations and made around Moroccan touches and autumn flowers The petal exchangeThis pretty purple wedding will leave you indulging in all things purple and deep purple.

The site: The Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, California. Dating back to 1967, this Orange County country club embodies the Southern California lifestyle. The planner was inspired by the beauty of the trees and the greenery at the site and made the pretty pavilion a focal point.

The atmosphere: Pretty purple meets California coolness. The elegant table landscape was designed with a blushing velvet tablecloth, golden votives, tall clear candle holders with floating candles and elaborate purple crystal chargers. This has been combined with deep purple plates, white and gold rimmed cutlery, ivory colored chiffon napkins, stunning pieces of stationery, and lush floral centerpieces for a sophisticated romantic vibe. The three-tier marble taupe cake was decorated with handmade sugar flowers in shades of purple, blush, white and pink.

The details: The bride wore a long-sleeved dress with embroidery and lace by Amare Couture Casablanca. The bouquet was kept simple and unstructured, using mainly lilacs with hints of distant drum garden roses, purple lisianthus, brown lisianthus, white lisianthus, burgundy dahlia, white dahlia, cafe latte dahlia, chocolate cosmos and explosion grass. The rose and cocoa silk ribbons were the perfect complement. The groom wore a black diamond lapel suit with a muted burgundy bow tie Friar Tux.

  • The clever use of color and simple styling elements (like these gorgeous knotted napkins) can bring it all together. Think about how you can use different tones, contrasting colors, shapes, and textures to create an inviting table landscape.
  • A bespoke cocktail can add a special festive feel to your event, like the blackberry and thyme cocktail created by award-winning mixologist Mia Valenzuela, owner of Mia’s martini, beautifully presented in a white bar box by The vintage vision.
  • If your wedding theme is about color, consider how your wedding cake can be used to accentuate this.
