The history: This shoot shows how you can have a fun and affordable escape even during a pandemic. Luxurious wedding picnics have been popular for a while, but this shoot brings the picnic indoors when the weather is not ideal for spring celebrations.
The site: Luxe Rae Loft is a photo studio and event space rental in Battle Ground, Washington (also conveniently for Vancouver and Portland). Filled with natural light, this is a modern, versatile space that can be used for bridal showers and is an ideal place to prepare for wedding photos.
The atmosphere: Spring mood inspired by citrus fruits. This shoot uses a palette of the blush of ruby red grapefruit, the rusty red of blood orange, and the bright yellow of yuzu against an unexpected touch of icy blue. You can almost smell the bright and zesty citrus tones.
The details: The breathtaking flower arrangements by Natalie Parks flowers and design Mix up spring pastels with bright pinks, oranges, and other accents. Coffee tables were used to create a sweetheart table with a relaxed picnic lounge feel. The cake was kept simple, but contained blue hints and decorative citrus elements to tie in with the color palette and the theme.
- Mismatched coffee tables of various sizes and heights were used along with a rug and pillows to create an indoor spring picnic look and feel.
- The citrus theme was carried over to the table landscape, where lemons were used as an affordable and sustainable place card option with the names of the guests in white calligraphy from The fresh colors.
- The fashionable clothes of our bride wearing a funny jumpsuit and her groom wearing a velvet jacket.
